| Carol White OHFA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Throughout her career as an educator, Carol worked on curriculum committees and writing teams at both the local and provincial levels. She has been the recipient of several national teaching awards. In both 2000 and 2002, she won an A&E Television Teacher Grant for incorporation of television into classroom units. In 2001, she and her class took first place in the National GrassRoots’ Canadian Communities contest. In 2002, she was awarded the Governor General’s Award for Excellence in Teaching Canadian History. Carol has been involved in the Fairs since 1995 as a committee member, Regional Fair Coordinator, Head of Delegation, Co-Chair of the National Fair in 1997, and Coordinator of all of the Ontario Provincial Fairs. Carol served as one of three Provincial Coordinators for Historica Fairs in Ontario from 2003 to 2007 and one of Ontario’s Provincial Coordinators since the creation of the Ontario Heritage Fairs Association in 2007. |

| Hugh Barnett OHFA SECRETARY Hugh Barnett is currently a 2nd year teacher candidate in the Master of Teaching Program at OISE. In addition to these studies, Hugh holds an MA in History from the University of Toronto, where he focused on Indigenous-Crown diplomacy and relations. In 2013, Hugh received the department’s Michael Bliss Essay Prize in Canadian Political History for his paper on the Nanfan Treaty of 1701. For the past two years, Hugh has worked for the Dictionary of Canadian Biography as an outreach coordinator. Hugh currently serves as the Vice-President of the Etobicoke Historical Society. |

| Dr. Rose Fine-Meyer OHFA PRESIDENT Dr. Rose Fine-Meyer is currently teaching in the Masters of Teaching program and the Initial Teacher Education program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Her research work is in history education, equity education, and the importance of place-based history courses in schools. In 2007, Rose was the recipient of the Governor General’s Award for Excellence in Teaching Canadian History and in 2012 she received a Queen Elizabeth ll Diamond Jubilee medal. Rose developed a senior level secondary school Interdisciplinary course entitled Archives and Local History that links students to communities and organizations engaged in maintaining and preserving local history. The course is currently taught in schools throughout Ontario. She has published articles, book chapters and book reviews in education as well as textbooks and supplementary materials for school history courses. She has participated in workshops and panels on Canadian local history, history education and teacher pedagogy. On a community level, she has developed and programmed a local women’s history talk series, herstoriescafe.com that has been instrumental in linking diverse history education communities and was recognized in 2012 with a Heritage Toronto Community Award. |
| Elizabeth Kerr OHFA PAST PRESIDENT Liz is a longtime library association leader and champion of school libraries, in Ontario and across Canada. Retired from a career in K-12 education, Liz is currently the Education Director of the Ontario Library Association. Prior to her retirement as Information Literacy and Media Curator at the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, Liz managed the Central Learning Resources Centre and was consultant for the 95 school libraries in the district. She was the Coordinator of the Kawartha Lakeshore Regional Heritage Fair and an avid supporter of school-level Fairs. Liz has been an exemplary association leader, having been President of the Ontario School Library Association and the Ontario Library Association. She is also active in the Canadian Association for School Libraries, a division of the Canadian Library Association. She has been awarded the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award by the Elementary Teachers Federation of her own Board, and the OLA’s Distinguished Service Award. |

| Allan Hux Allan is a member of the Steering Committee of the Historical Thinking Project and a member of the Executive of the Ontario History, Humanities and Social Sciences Consultants’ Association. In 2010, Allan retired as the Program Coordinator for Social & World Studies after a 35 yr. career with the Toronto District School Board. Allan has written curriculum lessons on Historical Thinking and John A. Macdonald, Sam Steele, and the War of 1812 for Historica, the University of Alberta Library. and the Historical Thinking Project. He is currently the Acting President of the Ontario History, Humanities and Society Sciences Consultants’ Association. |
| Marthe Poirier Marthe has been retired for a few years from her position as an FSL Curriculum Coordinator with the Sudbury Catholic District School Board. As an educator, Marthe was involved with the Heritage Fair Program at both the regional and board level. In her position as a consultant, Marthe served on different educational committees. She was involved in the development of the French Immersion Curriculum for the Ministry of Education. Marthe was also a director on the OMLTA Board of Directors. She had the opportunity to present workshops for different second language organization. Since her retirement, Marthe has enjoyed spending special time with family and friends, giving a helping hand whenever needed and doing some travelling. |
| Dr. Rosemary Sadlier Rosemary is passionate about Black history as a means of extending inclusion and justice. She is the president of the Ontario Black History Society, the first such organization in Canada. The OBHS is responsible for initiating the local, provincial and national observances of February as Black History Month and the local and Provincial celebration of August 1st as Emancipation Day. You may be familiar with Rosemary from her participation in films such as Seeking Salvation: A History of the Black Church in Canada, or A Scattering of Seeds: the Mary Ann Shadd story. On behalf of the OBHS, she has given Black history presentations across Ontario. She is the author of 4 books on African-Canadian history and consultant/co-author of a fifth. Rosemary has received many awards including the William Peyton Hubbard Race Relations Award, a Woman for PACE Award, the Black Links Award, the Planet Africa Marcus Garvey Award, and is the recipient of numerous awards including the Order of Ontario. |

| Kerby Waud South and West Zone Kerby Waud is a retired principal with the Thames Valley District School Board. He is a founding member of the Thames Valley / London Region Heritage Fair Steering Committee. He is a former elementary Geography, History and Social Studies Learning Coordinator.
